Building Resilience Without Sacrificing Growth – Pathways for the Pacific

How can Pacific countries act on climate while continuing to grow, create jobs and improve lives? Drawing on the Fiji CCDR and lessons from the Pacific Atolls CCDR, this panel will examine the synergies and trade-offs between climate action and development. Speakers will explore practical choices on resilient infrastructure, sustainable tourism, human capital, ecosystems, clean energy, climate finance and implementation. Led by the World Bank Group, the discussion will amplify Pacific perspectives and show how CCDRs can support action across the COP31 pillars: Pacific voice, resilience, finance and delivery.
