Financial Protection Against Climate-related Shocks

This event is pitched as a High-level Event involving a Keynote address by the Secretary General of PIF, followed by an opening remark from a high-level representative of the UK-FCDO who has supported the mapping exercise. Three Forum Island Countries: Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu will share their respective experiences in how they are sustaining investments, institutionalisation of financial preparedness in domestic fiscal planning, sovereign risk transfer solutions, uptake of the newer debt-management tools and how they are transitioning from predominantly reactive approaches towards more comprehensive financial resilience approaches.
