The Climate Infrastructure for Resilient Coastlines and Riverbanks CIRCAR: Nature Based Solutions for resilient Pacific

The event will commence with a keynote address by Australia's Ambassador for Climate Change, Mr Will Nankervis, formally launching the CIRCAR initiative. The keynote will be followed by a moderated panel discussion featuring representatives from DFAT, AIFFP, Pacific governments, Live & Learn Environment Education, civil society organisations, Indigenous leaders and community representatives from participating countries. The discussion will explore innovative blue-grey-green infrastructure approaches, partnership models, financing mechanisms and lessons from implementation across the Pacific. A field visit to Tuvalu is being organised separately in partnership with the National Pre-COP Committee in Tuvalu.
